The beginning

A home of hope, born from faith

Ikhaya Le Themba was established in 2003 to empower communities throughout Southern Africa. We are an outreach ministry of Joshua Generation Church, born from a simple conviction: that the good news of Jesus is best shared with open hands and practical love.

Our name means “Home of Hope.” For more than twenty years, that is what we have sought to be — a place where vulnerable families are welcomed, equipped, and reminded that they are seen, known, and loved.

Ikhaya Le Themba serving the community

Our vision

Strong, Godly families in all spheres of community.

Our mission

To equip communities to meet the practical needs of vulnerable families, while sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ.

What we believe

Dignity over dependency

We believe every person carries the image of God — and the potential to flourish. So we don't just hand out help; we build families up to help themselves, and one another.

Our people

Led by faith and service

Ikhaya Le Themba is guided by a dedicated board and team. (Leadership profiles coming soon.)
Let Your work appear to Your servants and Your glory to their children. Let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands — yes, establish the work of our hands.
